I run a multidisciplinary solo practice that goes by the name ya1sec, where I wear the following hats:

Lately, I've been exploring the domain of Natural Language Processing and working on a miniature piece of software called KORPIS that aims to be a friend to poets. Heaps of text are generated by Markov Models trained on austere corpora, leaving poets to use the cutup method to create works with the results. I'm writing a neverending poem called Impression of an Hour in collaboration with an experimental version of the program.

FISKKIT 2020 {3 months}Frontend Developer
A group of volunteers working part-time to build a robust critical thinking tool that promotes intellectually honest discourse. My role as a Frontend Developer had to be cut short due to an increase in freelance work, but I'm including this anyway in case my reader finds this idea interesting and uses or shares this tool.
STUDIO ZUNG 2020 {3 months (covid)}Design Assistant
An architecture firm. Managed Shopify and Squarespace functionality. Collaborated closely with the Principal and design team following brand guidelines. Designed catalogs for finished projects and refactored existing documents to meet new standards. Designed email campaigns and created a new client outreach, establishing a regular newsletter and directing its strategy. Edited and organized architectural photos. Photographed furniture for use in digital and print assets. Created, organized, managed, and published content for Instagram stories. Assisted showroom clients and processed sales.
BOOK CULTURE 2018-2020Bookseller
Curated titles for sections throughout the store. Composed press releases and designed flyers for events and lectures held at the store. Handled buying and returns of books and magazines from publishers and suppliers.
S MAGAZINE 2017-2018Contributing Editor
A fashion and art magazine. Managed web content. Worked closely with owner curating and producing brand concepts to be implemented in graphic assets and social media. Directed digital publication and social media strategies. Filmed & edited videos and photos for digital publication. Edited articles and editorials for print and digital. Directed a Kickstarter campaign to fund Issue 18.

A creative agency. Designed websites, mockup campaigns, and advertisements for concepts to be used by new labels. Created documents for branding concepts, adhering to a graphic and emotional fluency that maintained the brand’s identity while pushing it forward. Photographed and designed lookbooks. Scanned and retouched film for digital and print publication. Collaborated closely with team members on pop-up installations. Edited video for digital publication and advertisement. Clients included Tim Coppens, Stefano Pilati, Iri NYC, HTC, and Marchiopolo Wine Collection, among others.

A retouching house. Serviced pre-press processes for art books published by NYC’s Phaidon, Rizzoli, Assouline, David Zwirner Books, Matthew Marks Gallery, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Whitney Museum. Scanned and retouched film and digital photos, updated layouts of books, and printed proofs to be delivered to publishers. Maintained close collaboration with artists and publishers.
